I'd for sure stay away from prohormones. They're pretty useless. Add some ala in along with what Neo and Jphill suggested.

I think a quality protein supplement is all you need. Concentrate on diet. Most people your age fail to realize that an increase in caloric intake is important for putting on weight.

focus on protien and calories, if you have extra $$$ fork over for some creatine and glutamine.
I can't believe the others didn't put this BUT, get a good multi-vitamin.
there not hyped up muscle building products, but you NEED them.

Definitely wait until you are in to your 20s. Don't follow the crowd or risk hurting your natural potential.

What's going on bro,
I was 16 not too long ago and that's exactly when I started to hit the iron. For the first 2 years, I stayed away from everything, shit, to tell you the truth because I was filled with so many misconceptions on Protein Shakes and Creatine, I was scared to try it. But the best word of advice I can give you from someone who started out the same age as you is screw the supplements for now. Get all the carbs, protein and fats you need from natural food. We're still young and our metabolism is awesome, abuse it while you can and just eat eat eat eat eat eat eat. Hit the weights not only hard, but smart. Trial and error are the best way to find out what works for you. Just try to grow on natural food before headed to the supps from a chemistry lab.
Peace and train hard AND smart.

And PS. if you're looking for something to keep you not only looking GOOD, but keep your body and systems in check, it's a worthwhile investment to pick up some Multivitamins. You're body can't detect the difference between real vitamins and minerals and fake ones, it's all the same to the body and it'll help avoid some health problems down the road. Rock on.
