    protein powder

    How long does an unopened container of protein last?
    what would it's shelf-life be?

    Depends on the brand, sealed in airtight container 6 months to a year.

    I don't mean to state the obvious...but......check the expiration date.

    there was none...
    but no matter it's in the trash.
    I look at it like this, I am getting serious about my diet. why chance some second rate protein. so i coughed up the $50 and bought some isopure.

    I have a question bout protein how long does it last after its mixed to drink....I heard 20 mins max is this true?

    Where did you hear 20mins only i have left protein for up to two hours before! and its fine what gives you the impression only 20mins nothing will happen to it really especially if its mixed and kept in an air tight container!

    hey ms Figure, what if you leave it in the fridge for a few hours, in a blender container(which isnt tight), would that go to waste, cuz i usually make my shake b4 i work out and drink it when i get home from the gym

    I don't know if there are any studies to back it. But it seems logical that the protein would denature by the time you came from your w/o to drink it. It doesn't take THAT long to make...just make it when you get home, just have the ingredients ready to use. Incase you're dizzy from your leg workout...
