Question Creatine cycling and dosage increases?

    Hey bros...
I've been using creatine for a few months now and seemed to have reached my plateau. I saw some great gains after my initial loading phase but the results gradually leveled off.

    -Should I 'cycle' creatine?
-Should I be increasing my dosage? (I'm currently at 5g./day)

If you have any thoughts, let me know... Thanks.

I know people that stop after awhile and take a week or two off and repeat the loading phase again. I just stick with the 5 to 10 grams a day and don't come off.

Come off for a little. Come back maybe with a different brand in like 2-4 weeks...

If I decide to stop for a short time before re-starting, should I gradually increase the dosage? Also, does changing brands make a difference? I've been using GNC's Pro Performance brand but would consider changing if it would help...

Its probably best to come off for a bit if you don't wanna take higher dosage. The body becomes immune to things. I'd back off for alittle bit. Do what chinups said like 2-4 weeks. If you're just using regular creatine you can always change to something like cell-tech. just my two cents bro!

Thanks Firefighter...I've been seeing alot of ads for Celltech in Flex and was wondering about it. I think I'll take the advice.
    Thanks all,

Cell-tech is to pricey for my broke ass. Switching brands won't hurt and yeah coming off for a couple weeks is a good idea. You might want to do the loading phase again when you get back on though.

Thanks again for the advice bros. I took almost two weeks off of creatine and have now started using a different brand. I don't know how much is mental be it seems that I can already feel a difference...hmmmm.
    Thanks again...

TOO BAD YOU CANT INCREASE THE DOSAGES I SAID THIS A MILLIONNN TIMES THE HUMAN BODY CAN ONLY INTAKE 10G'S OF CREATINE A DAY SO CYCLE OFF AND ON. OH yah the loading phase... hmm another plot by big companys trying to rip you off... why load when you can't take more than 10g's in hmmm, maybe they want you to use it up quick and buy more. read up on that. =]
And if your taking 5 grams a day why even take it.

    Creatine sucks.

I find that I can lift about 10lbs heavier while on.. and 10lbs less when off. I suppose that the extra weight helps break down and tire the muscle more so it's of benefit.
