Who has combined dextrose with glutamine?

I am debating about wether to add the dextrose to my glutamine powder for a post work out recovery thing immediately after working out...or is it really gonna help with my protein shakes better? I am probably gonna do the myoplex deluxe twice a day and that has plenty of glutamine in it...Give me some feedback!! Thanks!

If you feel glutamine works for you then by all means add it to the post workout with the dextrose. The glutamine won't slow down your post workout absorption rates any and will be absorbed more efficently itself post workout. BTW I also believe that myoplex does have glut but it is only a few grams you should be getting 10 - 15g per day IMO.

I hope u're not talkin about combining protein, glutamine, dextrose, and glutamine all in one drink at once.

The only thing I can think of is because Glut and Creatine will supposedly fight for absorption when taken together. I don't know if it will really come into play with just 5g glut and 5g creatine, anything more and you might see some absorption issues. Other than that some people say that the dextrose should be taken before the protein because the protein will slow the absorption rate of the dextrose and slow the insulin . I personally don't think it slows it that much and shouldn't be worried about. I mix and love it.

Thanks pain.....well the Pro-Rated has like 14-15 grams of glutamine in it (I double scoop)... and I just toss in a scoop of creatine (5 grams) and seem to be getting good results. Thanks for the info though....

Ya, like I said I am not sure the amounts that would make them start to fight. Like I always say, if it works for you keep doing it no matter what anyone says, unless it is something that is bad for your health.
