    Dextrose intake question

    I finally got my dextrose. I'm a thin guy whos developing some pretty good muscle mass but im still 140 pounds at 5'9 5% body fat... Neway, I'm wondering with those stats how much dextrose I need with my post-workout shake and when else to take it.

    Wouldn't it make sense to take it before a workout as well?

    As well, I'm getting creatine, glutamine, and flaxseed oil tabs this week....When should I take those and how much should I take for my stats?

    Post workout 60-80g is probably optimal with 20-30g of protein, only time u need to take dextrose is post workout.

    Me personally, I take half of my creatine before and half after a workout, on training days. Glutamine, I take in the AM before cardio since I am cutting. When I am bulking I dont think I will be using glutamine.

    Flax seed oil is better than the tabs IMO.

    K , I found other posts on flaxseed oil and will use judgement on that.

    Why isn't dextrose good before workouts ?

    And how much creatine for my size?

    most people take between 5-10g of creatine

    Dextrose provides an insulin spike which is good post workout when you need the nutrients quickly, but other times in the day you need slower burning carbs for a steady stream of energy, that's it in a nutshell.

    Ok so I think it's gonna look like this.

    10-20 minutes before workout, 5 g creatine with grape juice

    Postworkout shake will be protein shake with 70g dextrose

    10 minutes later 8 g or so of creatine with tablespoon glutamine and grape juice

    How does that look?

    I'd get rid of the grape juice and just take straight creatine before workout, then take the creatine with dextrose and not grape juice


    And yes the dog's mine, thank you..

    Ive read tons of posts saying creatine should be with grape juice ?????

    i heard you shoulf take ur glutamine 30 mins to an hour befor workout to keep ur body from catabolic as fast, and would be good before bedtime b/c your not feedign ur self in your sleep

    creatine is taken wiht grape juice because grape juice is high in dextrose

    i have a comment on the flax seed oil tabs. I read from other posts that it's recommended to just take the liquid tablespoon as you need many tabs or gel caps to equal one tablespoon. just though this might help

    i was wondering how to measure out dextrose powder...(got confused b/c my celltech says 2 scoops is 99g, but my protien powder has the same sized scoop but says 33g (total not protien) per scoop)...thanks...

    1tablespoon= about 16.6g so 3 tablespoons would give ya about 50g
