    Question ALA usage

Do you think ala is safe for teenagers to use? Will it cause the pancreas to get used to producing less insulin and cause me to go hyperglycemic? after a long period of use (10 years) after i stop using it? couldnt find much info on this.

I think you will be fine, ALA is one of those drugs that you will urinate out if your body gets too much of it. I haven't seen any long term studies done with it and effects on insulin . So I don't know what to tell you. IMO, I don't think you will have to worry but it is a valid concern. BTW, get r-ALA instead of ALA if you are looking for the carb shuttling effects, it is much more effective and better.

You can get away with 1/3 the dosage of r-ALA as compared to ALA.

Does ALA stand for Alpha Lipoic Acid? If so what exactly does it do?
