    Dextrose?

    hello,

I would just like to know if there is an alternative source of carbs for a post workout meal .just in case I run out of dextrose. Would an apple work as good as dextrose or not? Thank you.

If your stuck in jam go with a "simple sugar" thats high on the GI index such as raisens, gatorade, or cranberry juice. Something that will immediately spike your insulin ...but of course stick with dextrose and malodextrin as they are the most effective post workout supps....US

Agreed. Go with gatorade...IMO its cheap, you can but it at any supermarket and the two main ingredients in the powder are sucrose and dextrose...

I agree. Dextrose is the best, second best and easier to find is gatorade powder. I go with the lime stuff cause it last the fewest additional ingredients. I noticed the orange flavored powder has hydrogenated oils... wtf is up with that shit?

depends on your bodyweight, try for around 65-75 grams on sugars, hopefully dextrose, after workout
