snack in the middle of the night
i normally wake up around 3:30 at night and take a protein shake.... does anyone else wake up in the middle of the night and take some protein or am i just paranoid of becoming catabolic, i know whey protein doesn't last all that long in the stomach so i take it with approx 20 oz of milk
am i weird or is this a normal thing for most you guys?

i also take a protein drink in the am. 55g of protein, 7g of carbs...i try to as often as possible

that looks about what mine looks like with a little more carbs from the milk
probly around 55 g protein, 25 grams milk sugar carbs

You don't want to mix it with milk...use water. Unless you want that belly or you're an extreme hard gainer.

you don't recommend milk? i was trying to get a homemade time release shake with the whey and casein
im all for a better idea for a homemade timerelease protein if you have one
this is what i was going on
Taking in more than 30 grams at once is not advisable because of its short-lived half-life. The best way to counter this effect a bit is to mix it in milk and not water. As I explained in my last article the casein in milk protein slows down the digestion of the whey protein, which may give it more time to absorb. Personally I make up 3 shakes before I go to bed.... I drink one at bedtime and usually will wake up twice at night with a little bit of hunger pains goin on....
Only started once I was on cycle - not sure if I'll continue waking up like this off cycle...I sure as hell hope not! Makes it tough to get a good night sleep.

yeah it makes it tough to get a good nights sleep but then again i can't sleep well worrying about not doing everythiing i can to build muslce

Well milk has all those carbs and sugar....I recommend using flax...the fat will help slow the digestion, plus the omega's in it is good for ya.

how does that flax oil stuff taste, i know where i can get it.... do i just mix it in with my protein drink? or do i drink it as a chaser?

Some taste ok and some taste bad!! It is something you get used to. I mix it in with my shake.

i woke up at 330 last night and took a myoplex mrp, over 40 grams of time release pleasure...highly reccomended.
