3 Weight gainer supplements ranked - any suggestions as what to try next?
Bought 3 types of weight gain supplements ---- here’s my evaluation opinion.
I use the following criteria
Price per quality ingredients
Quality ingredients = Proteins and Complex carbs
Ranking –
***** 5 star (dbol stars – lol) – highest
**** 4 Star
*** 3 star – average
** 2 star –
* 1 star - Poor
~ Deca Dick rating– very bad.
To have a common denominator – I assigned 150g of product to be 1 serving size
So, here we go:
All 3 have the same amount of other carbs (about 42% - 43%)
They differ:
Champion Nutrition Heavy Weight Gainer 900 (Chocolate) 7lb - $27.50
Protein: 34g
Sugars: 41g
Fat: 9.5g
Calories: 627
Don’t like the taste (it has beef protein that doesn’t dissolve easily – I cannot stand the taste of it)
% of good stuff (protein and other carbs) = 69%
You pay 1.37c per gram of good stuff
Therefore gets an ok (3 stars) rating out of the three products
***
ProLab N-Large 10 lb - $38.00
Protein: 51g
Sugars: 28g
Fat: 6g
Calories: 612
% of good stuff (protein and other carbs) = 80%
You pay 1.1c per gram of good stuff
Tastes OK
Therefore gets the highest (4 stars) rating of the three products
****
TwinLab Gainers Fuel 2500 9 lb - $31.00
Protein: 14g
Sugars: 66g
Fat: .25g
Calories: 565
% of good stuff (protein and other carbs) = 57.5%
You pay 1.47c per gram of good stuff
Tastes really good (what do you expect if a half of the 9lb container is just pure sugar)
That also explains why I couldn’t find the nutritional contents for this product on the internet …… oh, well, I’ll use it as an addition to the other stuff.
Therefore gets the lowest (Deca Dick) rating of the three products.
