i personally LOVE muscle milk, it's unreal how good it tastes.. i've read about thsi stuff called nectar and it's basically just a protein in a juice form. i've been wanting to try it out. isupure has a protein similar to that too

I like the recent changes to the EAS Myoplex Deluxe. In the past EAS had Soy Isolates, not that they dropped them, they're on top of the game again. The addition of CLA is good too!

Thanx man, I never really liked those stupid mofo's. When I would bring a product up to the counter to purchase they would always try to point me towards something much more expensive and not necessarily any better. I will take your advice and never shop there again. Also, thanks for the link man!

I like muscle milk also, the Banana Creme is great as a milkshake, and the Mocha Joe tastes like Iced coffee! Great stuff, I love it.

I took that stuff once and it tastes pretty good but I heard it was better not to go with MUSCLUTECH because they spend too much $ on advertising

I find Muscle Milk to be extremely sweet. I just bought some and I like it...but I do have to cut it with extra water.

For protein powders I stick with Prolab...I find it's cheap, high quality, and it works for me. Can't be that.

For MRP's I like UltraMet, Myoplex (although I have to water it down b/c it's so thick), and Biotest Grow.

My next purchase I'm going to try Labrada products...I've heard good things about them.

NLarge is a weight gainer. Technically it's not a MRP or a traditional protein powder.

n-large is one of the worst gainers (composition wise)

Huh? - n-large came up as one of the best, based on the following criteria:
$$$/(Protein + other carbs) = low relative to others
    and
% of junk (sugar and fats) = very low relative to others

What composition criteria did you use for your analysis?

He brings up a good point. It seems to me that Muscletech's stuff is a little too pricey. Maybe if they wouldn't advertise 700 page bs research ads in every magazine on the planet they could afford to charge decent prices. I personally have never used their stuff due to their outrageous claims of how ripped, huge, and strong I'll get from their products. My favorites are Pro-Rated and Optimum for blends and Myoplex Deluxe (new stuff) for MRP's. Mark

Yeah, they are overpriced. I know individuals who swear by it. I can see that muscletech might just use all that advertising to intice unsuspecting newbie lifters who think you need sup's.

I'm a believer that protein is protein, all that nitrogen balance and crap in NitroTech isn't so substantial. Not so much as with Deca .

I'm thinking of going with the prolab stuff on sale that you see on AR's home page.

I agree with the protein is protein statement. The main things that dictate what brand I buy is taste, price, and mixability. I really like All Sports' Pro-Rated. It doesn't go quite as far as the Optimum stuff, but it sure tastes good. I am still wondering if it's worth the extra expense to pick up some whey isolate for post-workout. Mark

In my opinion Nitro-Tech is far and ahead of all other protein suplemments. I've tried Precision's 100% protein powder and Pro-Complex and neither one gave me the results I got from Nitro.

I gained 23 pounds of hard muscle mass with Nitro in just 4 months. I love the stuff specially because I believe in the nitrogen stuff they claim. I don't know why, when I'm on Nitro Tech my muscles always look pumped and hard, unlike the other proteins.

Here's a question to all of you...can you look in the mirror and notice the differences between quality protein powders!? NO! It boils down to preference. Some companies spend their budgets on promotion...some spend it on R&D. Some believe the hype...some people don't.

IMHO...go with something that has a reputable name, tastes good, quality ingredients, and cheap price.

I have to say, Muscle Milk is, by far, the best tasting protein out there...hands down. You never get sick of the taste. However, the results I have had with Nitro Tech...seem to be superior to all others. I just can't get myself to keep drinking it after I'm done with my first 2lb container. With Muscle Milk, I can't wait to have my next shake.

Optimum 100% Hydrowhey. Very cheap, tastes decent, and it also has many BCAA's in it. 23grams a serving.

I have to agree muscle milk is great. not only does it tastes good, but it saves me $$ on glutamine peptides and creatine since its all in there. for those lactose intolerant people like myself, it's the best (whey does bad things to my system).

Whey proteins - Optimum 100% whey (cheap and easy, doesn't taste too bad)

MRP - Either Prolab Lean Mass Matrix Cinnamon Oatmeal flavor (best taste, 40g carbs/40g protein) or Muscle Milk (can't beat the taste).

Ive tried vp2, nitrotech, pro rated, isopure, prolab isolate and concentrate, EAS isolate and concentrate, designer, optimim, and recently all the whey for 3mo or more each.

Honestly check out all the whey for the cash. I was skeptical at first but the Isolate is pretty **** close if not identical to VP2 and the concentrate reminds me of any other EAS, prolab, optimum. I add a scoop of each and a half cup of oats for mrps.
