    Who manufactures GNC's house products

GNC is a retail chain and im sure they do not have their own supplement labs for manufacturing. So, my question is: Does anyone know who actually manufactures their Pro Performance Branded products?

It all comes down marketing and generic branding. When i was i high school i used to work at Autoworks and we had a Generic brand of motor oil called "Flagg" it was only 89cents a quart. But it was actually valvoline which in its own bottle cost $1.19. This is true as we were told by a valvoline sales rep that came to our store for demo's. This is very comon, you see it everywhere, grocery stores, etc...

Supplements are a bit different than generic motor oil, also its strange that GNC's generic house brand is more expensive that the other large companies like Optimum, Prolab, AST etc. Where most house brands are cheaper.

Im curious to know if its acutally a well know company that just puts a ProPerformance label and GNC's name on it. Anyone have any idea's...?

They claim Optimum Nutrition makes it. But they charge more for it, and I am pretty sure it is a lower quality than the Optimum Nutrition brand. A manufacturer can produce multiple formulations of protein, creatine, etc...

I don't think it's as good, but that's just my opinion on it If you talk to them, they will tell you that Optimum produces it for them.

Interesting, maybe Optimum requires GNC to sell it at a higher price the keep their Optimum Brand at a much more competitive price, and if people want to pay high dollar for ProPerformance then so be it, its a win-win for them. Thanks for the reply...

i used to work there a while ago and i remember seeing that optimum nutrition makes their pro performance products and interactive nutrition makes their GNC optibolic brand products.
