    Wouldn't Glucose be best?

    I was thinking today (that in itself deserves noting) and I was wondering if taking glucose with my post-workout protein wouldn't be the best. I mean if all carb sources break down to glucose in the end anyhow wouldn't using that source be the best? Or should I stick with my Gatorade? Thanks. Mark

    Glucose = Dextrose

    That's why it's recommended...so to answer your question, yes.

    Also, as i understand it, gatorade uses a glucose-sucrose syrup, so you are getting some glucose (along with table sugar, sucrose, which isn't as desirable) - this is why gatorade, IMO, is superior to powerade, etc...

    I've been using Gatorade in my post-workout shakes for a while now and I think it works pretty well. I am curious to try DGC by AST though. Mark

    I recently decided to start taking a little more than Gatoraid with my post workout stuff. I wanted a carb loader. I wanted to get some quick so yes, I had to goto GNC. I got the only decent 1 they had and it was a good price too. It was Twinlabs Ultimate Fuel with 100g carbs, 400 calories, 29g sugar, and some vitamins and stuff. Made from glucose polymers. I take half of what it sais and drop it in my creatine, then after that I pound my protien.
