    magnesium

    I was talking to this mother of two last night and she claimed that magnesium helped surpress her hunger. I am sure i spelled it wrong, but hey. Anyway i never heard this before, have any of u guys? If not what do u guys rec for curving yout hunger a bit.....any help would be great.... Fuller

    Magnesium is kind of strange. If you have too much in your body, it's a lot like not having enough in your body. If you're going to suppliment magnesium, you really should have a doctor do a blood test to even see if you need to suppliment it. Magnesiom can cause damage to the kidneys if there is too much of it. I have heard that not having enough magnesium can cause a supressed appetite (Like I said, not having enough is a lot like having too much, but having too much can cause damage to your kidneys).

    Don't think it helps to curb your appetite. Magnesium is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It helps maintain normal muscle and nerve function, keeps heart rhythm steady, and bones strong. It is also involved in energy metabolism and protein synthesis nothing in regards to appetite supression. Most likely just heard it from some bogus person spouting off false info. as they do in my gym to sound smarter. Ephedrine and caffiene are the best appetite suppressants I know of.
