    carb supps... anybody know?

    i just bought 7lbs of carbogain... it is a drink that contains 50 complex carbs per serving... i have been taking 4 servings a day . does anybody know about this supp, or any like it. has anyone here gained some solid mass from this stuff.. i figure i gotta gain something cause in upping my carb intake by 200 exra carbs. sh*t thats an extra 800cals.. let me know bros..

    Unless you are EXTREMELY lean I'd be wary of that. I'd try and throw down some rice instead. What are your stats, how long have you been working out, etc?

    all it probably is is maltodextrin, which is a very high GI complex carb similar to sugar just derived from a different source. why not just eat healthier foods. i dont think drinking pure sugar is going to help you gain LEAN mass.

    i am VERY lean... can't put on muscle for ****.. have been working out for 3 years... did a ****ty cycle (t400). put on some weight with the cycle but started losing at the end than lost a few, 5'11-170. yes it is malodextrine but it says it is from corn and it is complex carbs. this is not true? it def dosen't taste like pure sugar man.

    Instead of supplementing carbs why not get MRP shakes with carbs and protien...

    i have myoplex also. i take a protein rich meal every 2 hours. in between i will have a carb drink.. are you guys sure that this stuff is just sugar?

    Maltodextrine isn´t sacharose its a bit more complex than sugar,it´s a kind of a water-soluble starch.

    If you want to make the carbs more valuable to your body,mix it with dextrose and your body will get 25% more out of it.

    This would also be a good postworkout drink,since a high BG will lead to a anabolic enviroment and has in that manner a proteinsparing effect.
    Drink some whey or Aminoliquids after w/o as well.

    That's because they are glucose polymers. I would only recommend using maltodextrin and dextrose pwo from weight training as messing with your insulin levels any other time can be very dangerous.
