    Glutamine Peptides

Hey y'all. I recently bought a jug of ISS whey matrix. I noticed the other day that it's enriched with glutamine peptides. My question is wether or not I still need to take glutamine post workout if the whey has it already? Wouldn't alot of glutamine just fight for absorption? Thanks-RJ

No,you can still take your Glutamine after workeout,it will be better absorbed on empty stomach.
Glutaminepeptides are generally better absobed than L-Glutamine and more of the peptide gets into your bloodstream, rather than being absorbed by your colon. So adding peptides to a Ptoteinmix seems to be a good thing,to me.

Last year, researchers discovered a potential link between the size of the Glutamine "pool" and the rate of protein synthesis in muscle. Glutamine Peptides are recognized to be the most bioavailable form of Glutamine, and are estimated to be absorbed at a rate that is approximately double that of equivalent amounts of free-form L-Glutamine. This offers greater nitrogen retention and protein synthesis. Another advantage is that Glutamine Peptides are a natural source of Glutamine and are derived from 100% vegetable protein. So some say it is pointless to take extra glutamine when your whey already has it, but others beg to differ. Your personal choice in the end. No right or wrong answer here...
