    Deadlifts, rows, and wide-grip pulldowns.

Deadlifts are THE middle-back thickness exercize. Pull from the bottom pins in the power rack for variety.

Can I commit an act of heresy? I don't dead lift anymore. But, will do bent over rows with the barbell.

I bought a pair of those claw things and was able to go up about 70 pounds and really focus on my back instead of holding on to the bar.

Deadlifts followed by bent over rows with pronated grip. Started it a couple of months ago. My back has never been thicker.

Deads and best over rows. Stick some prop in and watch it get nice sore and thick

    Thanks to all

Thanks to every one that posted. Tried a wide grip on most of my rows and I really felt it in the middle back. I have always deadlifted used to do powerlifting for 7 years but my middle back just seems stubburn. Sometimes genetics can be a bitch.

    Cheers
