Tendonitis In Both Shoulders
This crap is killing me! I can't hold either of my arms up above my head without them both feeling like i did a 2 hour shoulder workout. It's really effecting my lifts, especially in my left bicep since its all connected. I don't know what to do, I'm a hard gainer and if i take too much time off ill loose the little ive gained over the past year...how long do you think it will take to heal? Can I still train with it and still have it heal?

Either physical therapy or cortizone shots. Cortizone will work fast hurts like hell and is bad for the cartilage in the long run.

Are you sure it's tendonitis? What about injuries? Have you seen a doc to verify tendonitis?

i heard that cortizone shots destroy muscle, and if you do more than one in a six months time period then it will negatively affect your muscles
i am gonna second the question, have you had it verified as tendonitis? this may sound a bit far-fetched, but it could be something mis-aligned in your spine that is causing your pain
if i were you i would see a chiropractor, many of them will adjust you for 20 bucks or less...you never know what they might find
i've been seeing one for a month (chiropractor/applied reflexologist/nutritionist) and he has helped me immensly with shoulder/lower-back/neck problems

Sounds like a rotator cuff problem. I jacked up my shoulder 12 years ago and it hasn't been the same since.
My ortho says he can fix it, but that I'll just trash it by going back to lifting heavy. So I work around it during the flare ups.
PT exercises with a rubber band seem to help me and I don't wing my arms out much, i.e., close grip bench, db presses from the front, etc.
The good thing is, no one dies from tendonitis or a worn out rotator cuff

Are you doing barbell presses. If so they have slowly damaged my shoulders over time becuase it is not a natural range of motion, I switched to mostly dumbbell presses and it fixed the problem.

- try not to do over head movements
- do special workout for your rotator cuffs (with low weight and NO muscle failor).
- do lat pull downs IN FRONT of your head
these 3 rules and I got rid of my shoulder pains.
