i prefer seated since you have support for your back and you cant cheat as much as opposed if you were standing. if you so it standing make sure to use a belt to help you with your form.

standing nearly cripples me as I have a bad disc in my back already. Adding that extra strain would kill me.

I prefer seated as it focuses on my delts more and I can't cheat, also standing really messes with my lower back when I go up heavy so, I stoped doing standing military presses I only do seated now.

Standing if you are in any way concerned with functional lifting. Other than in the gym, when was the lat time you lifted something of appreciable weight overhead while seated?

standing makes you involuntarily use your legs to stablize, making it easier on your shoulders
