I do a set of 12 then a set of 6. 15! Nah im too big a wussy to do that many!:cry:
why the higher reps? I go heavy azz to the floor drive the weight up and repeat, by 5 I want to pass out 6 is sure torture and 7 is just the end. This works for me, maybe not others I am 6'2'' and have a 29.5'' quad. I wish everythng else grew like my d@mn legs
Alternate week to week. 1 week go heavy and 1 week go for reps. Sit back and Grow!!! Peace
If I am doing 10 reps, I add weight.
i work up to a heavy double or single when im getting ready to max out. Nothing over 4-5 reps before that unless its a warm up set. granted, im training for sports, size, and strength. works for me though
5 reps is high for me. Powerlifting like a mutha...
As far as wanting to build mass I wouldnt go any higher than 8 reps, but if your wanting to shred up Id use 12-15 reps.
i alternate between each week with a 5X5 routine, pyramid routine and 1 20 rep set as in DC training.
i do one warm up set 15 reps
one light set 12 reps
2 heavy sets 8 reps
1 med set 10 reps
My thighs got huge doing this , before i used to just go heavy all sets

20 reps for first set.
15 reps for second
10 reps
8 reps for all other sets
I will drop down to 6. If I'm trying a new weight I'll just go with however many I can get, could be 3 could be 10?!? (It was 3 last time)
i am doing the dc method but i get around 16-17 reps with 325lbs and then i cant walk for like 5 mins.
I never go over 6 reps. go deep,go heavy.
