    Breathing on Pulldowns

    Can anoyne please tell me the proper way to breathe on lat pull downs? Thnx

    i do, breathe in on the downward movement, breathe out one the upward movement

    Like all your exercises, breathe in during the hardest part. In this case, on the way down.

    Me too... breath out as the muscle contracts (as you pull tha bar down), breath in during the eccentric range (as you slowly return to the beginning position)....

    I find that when I'm going past the most difficult point I let out the most air. I breathe out a little bit the whole exertion movement and then breathe in during eccentric range.

    I usually breath in on going down and out on goin up. Just checking cause alot of times I would loose track of breath and screw it up.

    Try not to screw this up. It will cause a hellacious increase in blood pressure (valsalva maneuver).

    Rule-of-thumb, when the weight leaves the stack, exhale.

    totally agree. this is how breathing for every exercise should be done.
