Mentzer and heavy duty

Im a big fan of mentzer and his ideas. I read this article but find it hard to believe that this workout regeime would be particularly productive. Perhaps it would work for someone very experienced who's shifting massive weights and needs long rests between workouts etc, but i doubt this workout would provide my body with sufficient stimulus to maximise growth.
Supersetting pushdowns with dips is an interesting idea i had never thought of tho.

I used his method and got great results.
