    Guerilla Cardio

Hey, has anybody read this article in muscle media (long time ago.. like sept 2001, I think.).. heres the article in PDF format.. u need adobe acrobat to read it..

    http://www.cs.unm.edu/~wneumann/file...lla_cardio.pdf

please tell me what you think.. is this good for fat burning or will it go to muscle, from what they claim it sparks it just enough so it doesnt burn muscle. 4 minutes of cardio is ideal for me cuz I get bored easily.

I read it over and although my initial thoughts were that this would be better suited to someone who didn't workout and just wanted to lose a boatload of bellyfat but after thinking about it for awhile, I think I will give this a try for a few workouts. I doubt this program will make me any leaner becasue for anyone in 1/2 decent shape diet is #1
but this could be excellent for maintaing cardiovascular fitness on a minimal training (cardio wise) routine. I am just starting a more PL centered split where I work each lift on a 5 day rotation so I can slip this in during my off days.

How did you work it into your routine and how did it affect your workouts?

I am currently trying a split like follows:
    Day1 - Legs & abs (squat centered)
    Day2 - Pressing & abs (bench centered)
    Day3 - Off
    Day4 - Pulling & abs (deadlift centered)
    Day5 - Off
I hit each muscle group every 5 days, and for comound movements I do at least 4-5 sets and the reps range between 3 and 8 in a pyramid fashion. I am thinking of moving the ab training and this Guerilla Cardio to my off days, though I am only 2 rotations into this split so I will probably give it a few weeks to assess the current workload before making any additions.

yea, i think i'm gonna try it also. From what it says it doesnt burn muscle, it just sparks the metabolism and burns the fat AFTER you run.. so really no fat burning while you run. when I do it, i'm gonna do 1 week guerilla, 1 week regular cardio, etc.. i figure switching it up and such will be best.

I hate running, so getting it over w/ in about 4 minutes is ideal.
