Does anyone recommend using strip sets? and if so, for which body parts does it work the best for? I'm just trying to give my body a good shock

I assume you mean drop sets.. doing with a certain weight and then immediately dropping off a few pounds and doing more reps, and repeating this for a couple more times...
I did it with dumbbell shrugs with 120's, 80's, 40's and my neck never felt so goooood...
Works great for biceps as well........

same weight go for say 6 reps stop for 15 breaths or a min, try 6 again, rest for 15, try 6 again, am i right guys?
i do drop sets for just about everything for the past year and have never felt better. But, along with drop sets, i rest for 30-45 sec MAX, usually less.
A high rep set with a longer period of time between each rep, sort of like a super short rest, hence the name rest-pause. Example:
Timing format --> descent:bottom pause:ascent:top pause
Normal set
Squats for a 10 rep 3:1:2:1 set (3 sec descent, 1 sec bottom pause, 2 sec ascent, 1 second pause at the top. That is one rep.
Rest-pause set
Squats for a 20 rep 3:1:2:5 set (3 sec descent, 1 sec bottom pause, 2 sec ascent, 5 second 'rest' at the top. That is one rep.
Try them, they rock, especially for compound movements.

i never have goten any results from droppin wt, i always pyramid up. and to shock my muscles about every 2 months ill just cut my rest time down, or do high reps like 25 or 30 for 3 sets with semi heavy wt
Do you guys think that doing sets of 8 reps for several weeks and then switching to high reps (15) for a few weeks is a good way to go? just to keep your muscles guessing.

yes because you will have to drop the weight to do the extra 7 reps. it will be somthing different to your muscles and it will shock them. but im not sure about the duration of it or how long you should workout before you would want to shock them... :yellowconQuote:

Love doing drop sets for bi's every other week, just for some variation.
rest pause is great! I have been doing that with a lot of my major exercises lately and it has really been doing wonders for me!
