Thread: fat burning?

If you were to have a clean straight protein shake before doing your morning cardio would this have a negative effect on burning fat at all? Or would it be a better idea do your cardio on a 100% empty stomach? I have an idea what the answer is going to be but i just want to make sure! i cant see clean protein with water having a negative effect on a.m cardio but i just wanna make sure with you guys thanks!

You got it, your body will use anything in your stomach before using its fat as energy during cardio. Save the shake for with your 6 or 7 eggs after youre done.

I always drink my shake after doing some good cardio. It sure does help start my day off better.

I have found on days where I am STARVING in the mornings if I have something VERY low in fat and calories it doesn't effect me. This is because I'm doing anywhere from 60 minutes to 90 minutes of cardio a day. If I do this I'll do one scoop of EAS Precision protien which amounts to 100 calories and 1g of fat, 20g protien. I may not be losing to my full potential but I'm not passing out. Only done this though a few times.
