What to do when taking your week off for resting??????HELP
Alright well as you all know it's good to take a week off after training for a couple months (about the 7th 8th or 9th week), Do you guys take the week off completly or do you go and just hit cardio?
I was thinking of going in and doing light weight/high reps maybe half a set for the excersice I usually do/ The only thing is I've been hitting it hard and don't want to loose my momentum.
Anybody have a routine on there week off they can share with me?

2 days most I take off in a row.
I would go crazy if I took off 1 week however one or two weeks out of the year is highly recommended especially if you're getting burned out.
I still enjoy going to the gym everyday and trying different routines.
Right now i'm doing really high reps and lighter weight.
Reps of 15,20,25 at 3 or 4 sets. I'm lovin it!!

I don't think I can just sit around.
I always here it's good to let the body relax and do nothing for a week but I think this time I can't stop....I'm not even cycling or anything...

When I take my week off I really concentrate on perfecting my diet, many times you will actually come back bigger/stronger after that week off.

Taking a week off is good.. but each person is different.
Sometimes when i decide to take a week off i will find other activities, not weight training to occupy me.

Thanks for all the responses guys, I'm actually going to try to take the week off and just hit cardio. Hopefully I can last taking it all off.

I usually take at most four days off with no weights/cardio to give my CNS a decent rest.

When I take off usually do it for a week. Will try and do some light cardio (walk on tredmill 3.0-3.5 mph) for 20-30 minutes maybe 3 days to keep myself sane. Every once in a while I'll spoil myself and get a massage to help relax the muscles.
Then after that hit up the gym hard again

I took a few days off and went to the gym anyway. I completely freak out trying to stay away. I ended up helping assemble the new equipment that all the New Years people bought.

Ladys and gents I must say that week of felt like eternity but I kept up to par with my cardio and have to say this morning's work out was great, I came back a little stronger then expected. I did nothing but rest and cardio and felt awesome this morning.
