Squats making my hips big
I've recently started to work my legs regularly again (once a week), and noticed that my hips are getting bigger (an undesirable result, obviously). I got similar results when I worked legs regularly before as well. My routine consists of
Squats 5 sets 8-12 reps
Leg Press 4 sets 8-12 reps
Leg Extension 4 sets 12-15 reps
Lying Leg Curls 4 sets 10-12 reps
Standing Leg Curls 4 sets 10-12 reps
Walking Lunges 4 sets 10 reps/per leg
Standing Calf Raises 4 sets 10-15 reps
Seated Calf Raises 4 sets 10-15 reps
I have heard that squats can make your hips bigger, should I cut them out of my routine? Have leg presses or any other leg excercies been known to make your hips bigger? How can I alter my routine to prevent this from happening?

If you are doing full squats you use more hips at the bottom, so just do them to parallel. Also, I think it uses more hips when you use a wide stance so keep you stance not too much wider than shoulder width. If you are doing low bar squats switch to the high bar (bodybuilding style).
Your body structure may just be set up in a way that squats work your hip flexors to a larger degree. You can cut out regular squats and switch to front squats, that may help a little.

Maybe you are getting ready to give birth.lolj/k. There may be nothing you can do its your genectics playing out here. You could either try front squats to emphasize the femoris (front). Or the other option is delete the squats altogether. Good luck
