    Low squats = wider hips?

I've been going low on my squats targeting my glutes. Its been working but my hips seem to be wider. Is this a result of going low? How do I build glutes without widening my hips?

Going below parallel on squats will not widen your hips. The will however build your glutes. You might also want to add stiff legged deadlifts if that is your goal.

Thanks. I'm doing stiff legged deads too, and my leg / glute development is progressing well. Maybe its another excercise that is the cause. For legs I do squats, deads, lunges, presses, & extensions.
