Neck Pain with Shrugs?
Anyone get these the day of shrugs? I do traps and delts in the same routine and i have been getting pain in my neck that is a sort of blunt annoying pain. I do 3-4 sets of barbell shrugs followed by 3-4 sets dumbell shrugs. I dont even use a whole lot of weight i focus more on the form and a higher rep count. (Deadlifts add the thickness i need/want). Any similar problems? any solutions?

Are you staying in a vertical plane? As in straight up/straight down?

yea i try my best to focus on the form of the exercise, the way my gym is set up i can look to my right as im shruggin to make sure i am in the vertical plane. i only look to the right to "Check" every few reps

ya make sure you focus on keeping your head up and straight... maybe also start with lower weight and work up to the wieght your at... are you training your traps to frequently taht may cause the pain also..

the only thing im thinking about is when you shrug you turn your neck and that would hurt it. Other wise im not sure what it can be
