Treadmills are easier on the joints. However, if HR's are eqauted there is no difference.
I would encourage a treadmill to save the knees and back. Also, you can control the grade on a treadmill, which makes it easier to stay within your target training zones.

Treadmills have control over environment and speed. Running outside gives change of scenery and fresh air not hot sweaty gym air. Treadmills suck IMO.

outside....many people can run on a treadmill for miles, but once they try to jog on the streets, their done after a few ...........jogged outside is def. superior is to a treadmill
Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, THAT IS STRENGTH

They're both pretty much the same, except that running on the streets, you have to stop sometimes and there it's often hard to stay hydrated for 30 mins. I personally prefer treadmill because I can watch TV and run.

I don't know about you bro's but what about the sprints.......

When training I've found that sprints kick everything up a notch.

treadmill sucks, harsh on the knees/ankles/lower back. if you have a clay track at a local HS thats a lot better.

Whatever keeps your heart rate in the zone you are striveing for is what you should be doing. I personally do both. If it's nice out I will go for a nice run, but if it's raining or something I will hit the treadmill at the gym. I bike ride a lit too so that works for me.
