do you guys actually do the 6-8 second negatives on each rep performed?

Theoretically you're supposed to try to hit the 6-8 sec negative. You adjust your weight so that you can reach the number of reps you want utilizing the 6 second negative.

No, no one does a 6-8 second rep on each rep of the workset, we all do explosive positives with a controlled negative, if you need a number it falls into the 2-4 second range for each negative, now when you fail on that last positive, then you do a super slow negative of 6-8 seconds or what ever you will be able to handle, we always finish the RP set on a super slow negative...
