For thickness of the Bi's, blat out the hammer curls! However for big arms, your gonna need big Tri's as well, so dont neglect them either!

    Also, go heavy, go long!

Big tri's are the best way to make your arms look thick. IMO if you put some extra emphasis on your tri's your arms will look thicker.

Yup-yup. Tris are two thirds of what make up the upper arms. Don't neglect your shoulders though. I did and am now playing catch-up with the delts. Hammer curls for bis,& zottman culrs.
Triceps-Narrow bench and Standing tricep extensions with a barbell.

I agree with Narkissos, With only 1 year training
I would expect you not to be huge, be patient big guns do not happen overnight. Assumming you train arms TWICE a week and you DO NOT miss any week in that one year thats only 104 workouts and if your diet/rest is not in order do not expect miracles escpecially if not genetically gifted.

Stick to basic mass building exercises: barbell curls, preacher curls, dumbell curls, close grip/ reverse grip bench, skullcrushers, pressdowns, dips. Don't neglect your brachialis as well.
