If I suffer from shoulder impingement syndrome, would it be better to just use underhand or close grip lat pulldowns instead of wide grip? Can you still widen your lats without doing wide grip lat pulldowns?
It will be harder to get the wider look with close grip pulldowns because you are hitting the mid upper back rhomboids and lats. Underhand medium grip will hit the bi's more but may put less stress on your shoulders. Do lighter weights stop if experiencing sharp pain as you need rest.
