Compound - squat, military press, bench press, deadlift, clean and press, powerclean
Isolation - leg extention, calf raise, tricep extention, curls, flys, lateral raises, shrugs

Compound=more than one joint(ex.bent-over rows) Isolation=Single joint movements (ex.lateral raises)
