when i get to do my cardio i do 15 minutes on the treadmill ,20mins on the crosstrainer and 10 on the bike,is this ok or should you stay on one thing for 40-45 mins?

I prefer to stay on the same modality, just to keep HR at a steady state. As long as you are changing as fast as possible, keeping HR elevated, there is no problem.
