The rowing machine
Is the rowing machine any good at building up the shoulders ? Ive had a couple of 5 minute goes at it but would probably build it into my workout if i though it was doing any good.
Any opinions ?

Nope. You could use it as a warm-up. It would be like saying running builds the quads better than squats, presses, etc. Military presses and other shoulder movements will provide better results to increase size as compared to the rowing machine.

It'll hit your rear delts, which IMO should be hit on your back day and not your shoulder day.
