I like the old T-bar row--the real one, without a chest support.

I never use the chest supported row contraption because I have to arch my back too much to pull the bar into position (arching will lead to injury). I'm 5-6; the chest supported row is not made for people my height.

Since most gyms no longer have the REAL T-BAR ROW, I occasionlly grab a barbell, wedge on end in a corner, put the weights on the other end of it and use a seated cable row close grip to hook around the bar to do the rows while straddling the bar and bending over with my back kept flat and almost parallel to the floor.

If all the bars are being used, I do heavy, one arm rows with dumbbells.

Use the method of doing rows with a bar wedged in the corner (I described it above).

My gym has no t-bar roll so I also do EXACTLY what Bask8 does except I like standing on a metal 4inch platform when doing them.

Escentially those two work the same muscles? why do em both and especially one after the other.. As the boys said corner rows are awsome and i don't think there's anyway to go wrong with bentover rows and ocasionally switch it up with dumbells.. Remember to check the ego at the door.. have to feel back working!!

THe chest supported aparatus doesn't do it for me..for me it eliminates some of the stimulus normally associated with the bent row.. and the range of motion feels shorter to me
