Dumbell shoulder press Ronnie Coleman style.

When watching The cost of redemption i noticed that when doing shoulder presses with DB's ronnie only went about 2/3rds of the way up, there was never a pause and he just pumped out the reps. I tried it tonight and found it to work pretty well. I got a pretty good pump, i wasnt lifting as much as usual but that diddnt seem to matter. I could really feel i was isolating the delts and taking the triceps out of the equation. Anyone else try this?

Seldom lock out and if your clanking the db on the concentric portion of the lift you are doing it wrong.

I never lock on anything, you get to failure much quicker by not locking

It keeps constant resistance on the muscle doing it that way. I do that for a lot of things ervery once in a while. It wears you out faster with less weight , so I dont do it all the time. I still like to heave up some heavy weight for lower reps.

I go all the way up without locking out. I prefer doing arnold presses when working the shoulders with dumbbells.
