Arrow How many sets per Bodypart???

Just wanted an Idea on how many sets per body part you would recommend to do.

At the moment i'm doing 3 lifts for 3 sets of 6-8 reps for upper body parts
and 3 lifts for 3 sets of 12-15 reps for lower body parts

I usually do like 15-20 sets total for my bigger body parts like chest, back, shoulders, and legs, then I do like 6 sets only for biceps and then about 10-12 sets on triceps.

depends how advanced you are? I like to switch up rep range at least every three months.. I like to do about 14 for chest, 8 for tri's... about 20 for back,, including traps, and 6 for biceps, 10-12 for shoulders and right now 10 sets for legs as per SC's routine

15-20 sets for chest is too much IMO... Keep your intensity up and you wont need more than 12-14...

only 6 reps for bi's? .. i realize you hit bi's on back day and tri's on chest day but i usually go for say 9-10 sets for tri's and bi's .. and for the major muscle groups such as chest, back, legs i do about 15-20

agreed, I always do at least 9 sets for bi's, sometimes 12. Same for Tris. I actually switched up my routine last week, I do tris with back, and bi's with chest. My reasoning behind this is I felt my tri's were too tired after doing various chest exercises to get an effective work out. I noticed a difference the first day, I could do 20 pounds more on skull crushers, and was able to really focus in on my tris and feel the burn more than if I were to do chest in the same day. I feel with this little tweak, my progress on tri's will be faster.
