    favoured method

    guys,

ive been told by many people many different ways to work out. whats the opinion on the board:

    a) one/two body parts per day

    or

b)all body parts 3 days per week?

do you think its just a case of seeing whats best, just i did all parts 3 days a week for a few months and now im thinking of going for seperate parts per day to see what happens?

    general opinion guys?

    cheers

After years of training I follow some INSTICTIVE TRAINING meaning I do what my body tells me and feel which only comes from experience. Once or twice is dependant on many factors but as a rule if your intensity is high once a week should do it. Twice is okay is okay for certain muscle groups. It is my opinion working some bodyparts can be work evan more (periodically) if conditioned but realize if you do the key to recovery is a better diet. Having 3 years training on & off to me is a beginner as it was probably mostly off. Guys who trained very constant 3-6 days a week for only 1 year is better then 3 years on/off mentality. Gains for the most part comes during the first years then slows dramatically as we age and reach ones genetic potential as there are only so many muscle cells/fibers in your body for expansion hypertrophy.

    I like this;
    Sunday: Back and bi's
    Monday: Chest and tri's
    Tues off
    Wed: Legs
    Thurs: Off
    Friday: Shoulders
    Sat: Off
I preform cardio first thing in the morning.. Abs and more cardio on OFF days

You have to switch your routine up very regularly though

Your training volume and intensity will dictate frequency.

No, I was replying to the original question. You split looks good. However, you and the original person asking the question are on two totally different training levels.
