See a doctor ASAP, further injury will do nothing but hinder your goals.

Golfers & tennis elbow tendonitis is the likely culprit very common. Seek help or else you must rest it either way if it is rest is best.

...I agree. Sounds very much like a chronic tendinitis which should respond very well to anti-inflammatories and/or a cortisone shot. Either way, you will have to take it easy on the bi exercises for awhile - go lighter and try to control your reps and avoid lifting ballistically (i.e. throwing the weight instead of lifting it).

Going through the same thing now with tennis elbow. I've been out for about 3 months now and dying to get back into the gym. I got a cortizone shot the 21st of last month. Feels hell of a lot better than before, but not 100% yet. I'm set up for another shot next week. Hopefully that will be the end of it. Before the shot I couldn't grip anything, not even a hand shake without it feling like it was tearing. Now i can do fine, but not ready o get back in yet. Every post I've read or heard from people personally, is ice it like 3x a day for approx 10 minutes and it was the best thing they did. Hope this works for myself and the rest of you guys.

Stop doing barbell curls if you do them now. I had the same thing happen with my elbow and something in my forearm. Change it up and go light, but do not push it!
