    Deadlifts

I switched my training method a bit according to Swole's posts lately... Using the 3/2 tempo (negative/postive) on most of my lifts.

Now, I read somewhere that doing the negative portion of the deadlifts is bad for your back. I was wondering if anyone can explain why/why not?

    Thanks in advance.

P.S.: Swole, if I could have your take on it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Any exercise if form is not right will be bad in some way and this escpecially includes deads. Lower back should not cause any problems if you are in correct spinal alignment and execute correctly not using excessive weight that you cannot handle.

I don't propose the 3/2 on squats or deads, no.

More like a bit quicker 2/2. The back is in a funky position to be excessively holding negative movement.

    That's what I thought. Thanks.
