Working out w/ oxygen tank?
It might sound dumb, but has anyone ever thought about what would happen if you worked out using oxygen Think about it, you should'nt be out of breath as quick as w/o it and it might burn more calories. I know someone has tried this by now. What do you think, cars do better when they take in more air Talking about bodybuilders not out of shape people. They have the new mini oxygen tanks ( you know if Ronnie Coleman or some champion like him was to be seen using it, people would be rushing out to get one )Lets here what you think

No. One is because resistance training is anaerobic. What good would oxygen be? Secondly, your arterial blood is already 98% saturated with oxygen. Thirdly, it is not always the incapability of your body to deliver oxygen, but it is also the incapacity of the muscles to uptake and utilize the oxygen. You lack the cellular adaptations such as, mitochondria and capillary density to use oxygen. You are not out of breath because you need more oxygen to resistance train. You are out of breath because the activity is anaerobic and you are producing metabolic by-products such as co2 and lactic acid. To rid your body of these "toxins" your respiratory rate increases, which buffers these compounds. I could keep going, but the answer is NO.

I'm going to buy an electric wheelchair... walking wastes too many precious calories while bulking

A better thought would be an IV so you could have a continous and steady supply of protein in order to remain in positive nitrogen balance and stimulate hypertrophy.

bro like somone said above your blood is already 98% saturated. Which is one reason hyperventilation (bringing in rapid amounts of oxygen) does not add anything to recovery.
