    Question Arm wrestling

I know its not really a technique question..but I was wondering if anyone would know...which muscles are most importants in arm wresling. Usually ppl think that whoever got biggest biceps..will win..well not true ... Ive seen guys with smaller bis taking guys with bigger arms... Anyone ?

    Thanks

    foreamrs, biceps, shoulders, rotater cuff.

on the competitions i see on tv they are allowed to use their whole body weight and pull down to their side

Every muscle he said only strong forearms are going to be way more helpful than bicepts which in my opinion is the weakest muscle in this group.

They use their wrist alot in it so probably the forarm would be the most used

use a low down cable with a single handle attached and rest your elbow on a bench, then stick some weight on and pull. Make sure you're in a position that puts a good pull all the way through the motion. Also, try an exercise where you lay on your back, dumbell in one hand, elbows tucked in and bent at 90degs, then rotate the dumbell off the floor until the hand is now directly upwards. Good for the rotator cuff.

And yeah, forearms are good to exercise and one that was missed is chest which I think is a major one.

i watched a guy get his arm broke at the bicep while arm wrestling. Sounded like a big stick breaking in half!! will NEVER arm wrestle again...

I agree with all of the muscles the others have names, but i would put more emphises on the shoulder aswell, i started throwing my shoulder into a couple arm wrestles and beat my friend who could do far heavy weight in probally an exercise and is MUCH larger then me.
