cardio and heart rate question
ive started doing my am cardio with a ploar hr monitor,im 25 and my target hr is 117-136 its hard to keep it down ,how do you keep it within that range without stopping .i had to jog real slow to get it down a bit, thanks

Use a different machine, when walking it will be below 117. But a slow jog goes higher best thing to do is just use another machine.Originally Posted by irish bulldog

I am 25 and your target HR is 146, i use the Elliptical's and i sweat my ass off. I am constantly monitoring my HR generally staying around 55 rpm's....
If you have'nt already, think about adding some Glutamine before cardio.

dont run just walk on the treadmille on an incline

It is true, by walking on an incline (3.8 to 4.2 MPH) will get your MHR in the correct range.
