One hardcore set of presses should waste the shoulders. Rotate between dumbell presses and barbell presses. Hardcore sets should do it. Then throw in 2 more excercises the sam way and you should be good....

I prefer a standing press and a seated press. I'll do one with a barbell, then the latter with dumbbells.

Previously i did two pressing movements on shoulder day...but on conferring with a fellow competitor here i now do only 1 pressing movement.

His advice in a nutshell was "the two movements are not disimilar...why travel the same road twice?"

Also..because of him, i do my pressing movement AFTER my raises...

    routine
    Bent Laterals
    (side) Lateral raises
Front raises on an incline bench
    Military press
    Upright Row

The explanation for such is rather lengthy...but has been rather effective

I bet it has something to do with the fact that your front delts are worked on your pec day and etc. you better concentrate and put your energy on the rear and side delts. Would probably help avoiding overtraining of the front delts since you can put less energy on your front delts.

If I'm not right, would you care to explain?

i think i really got my delts to grow when i started doing HEAVY upright rows, then i usually do a pressing movement, i finish off with reverse flyes on the pec dec, its simple nd its been working for me the last several weeks
