Targeting the Vastus lateralis ?

Hi I would like to know what would be the best way of targeting the Vastus lateralis as I want specific ways to build it up. My inside quad is very big and want to have my outside quad to catch up. Any help would be appreciated

Targeting a very specific area can be tricky. But generally using a leg extention or leg press pointing your toes inward can help the outer sweep but just do not over do it.
