Cable upright rows
Anyone ever do cable upright rows as seen here?:

just do them with a barbell. more fluid, i dont like cables.

nope, i have seen people do them but I stick with barbell or dumbell

Definitely use a barbell. A lot more effective IMO.

I've seen it done.. but have never done it myself. Barbell for sure.

Well I can see most do not do it but I myself like them. I sometimes stand on a 4" platform when doing them and get a great constant tension stretch. I never limit my routine to only certain type of exercise but I guess I am a bit biased because I'm a big fan of cable movements.

I am not a big fan of this exercise, I feel it puts the shoulder in in a mechanically disadvantageous and relatively unsafe position for repeated weight bearing. Strangely some people can do this exercise for years and years yet never have any problems, but you won't find a physiotherapist or chiro who would recommend this exercise.
