weed question. searched and no answer
does weed in moderation affect muscle growth. I am not talking about smoking before a workout, but on an off days or several hours after a workout like once a week. anyone know of any studies or personal experience on the effect marijuana has on muscle growth.
i understand it might not be optimal, but what kind of impact does it have.
i did a good search. many of the threads did not have answers because all the replies said was do a search. i know that this this has been discussed numerous times, but the issue is still not clear. so if anyone can help me out, i would really appreciate it.

It's against the rules to discuss rec. drugs on this board bro....
There are no studies that I've ever seen showing 'serious' affects on muscle-growth, however, anything that increases estrogen levels (such as pot) is not optimal.
Leave it at that.

Marijuana slightly increases estrogen levels, which men don't want. Marijuana (or tabacco for that matter) causes irregular blood flow (why smokers are always at risk for stroke/heartattack) so if your not getting enough blood to your muscles you are not getting enough nutrients to them. Smoking also is bad for your endurance, as smoking lowers your VO2 max and therefore causes you to get less than your optimal oxygen uptake. Plus smoking anything increases your chances of lung cancer. We exercise to improve our bodies, not to destroy our lungs with recreational drugs.

If done in moderation i cannot see why there would be a problem with it.
