    motivation

There is definite physcological affects that make a difference when it comes to intensity and effort. I was wondering what are some things that go through your head before you press hard. What kind of music you listen to you tracks n titles, also what makes you go for that last push when most people would quit. What goes through your head, do you worry you won't make it and the weight will colapse on your chest/body?

This is the point of a "Bally's type" of gym where all the hot women go. Then, think of what a sissy you'll look like if you don't finish your workout with them watching. That's what I do. Seriously.

absolutly nothing. let your muscles do the work, the more mental aspect you involve into the lift, the more complication your adding. when your doing the lift you should have nothing in your head except "fukk it i got nothing to lose".

motivation is everything...every morning i wake up and the first thing that comes to my mind is...my GH shot and training. i started off by listening to hip hop...song by tI - bring em out and so forth...but then i inclined towards the trance music as i felt it gave me more energy and more momentum....all that went to crap now because they took off that station while i train and now its rock, i barely listen to rock so w/e. movies like pumping iron, and rocky 3,4 motivate me before the gym. Also, while im at the gym and i'm training i like to visualize myself growing as i lift...its great

    1. Thinking of someone I hate
    2. Knowing those last few reps I push out will make me bigger
    3. Knowing the more I push with correct form means the more I grow

mind - muscle link... i concentrate on the muscle contracting to get the weight up. it helps me isolate the muscle more and keeps me from cheating

Thinking of things that make me angry help. Looking at musclemag and comparing the pros to myself always make me pump harder, and talking to bros on here. If that doesnt work hit yourself in the face a couple of times, it gets my adrenaline pumping and theres no one to kill except the weights!

Some other people already said my two. Watching Pumping Iron, or perhaps the Markus Ruhl video I have. That, and there's quite a few good looking females at my gym, and I know you're supposed to "check your ego at the door" and all, but deep down it's still motivation to push harder.

I really need to get me an MP3 player though, I don't much care for the music they play at my gym, they just play some top 40 satellite radio station, some songs are good, but some are just slow lovey dubby songs that you can't lift for **** to.

    Motivation?

100% internal... if you need an external stimuli to get you to do something for yourself, then the 'something' obviously is not worth enough to you.

I get up and do it... cus weight training is one of my loves

When I'm maxing I use the negative energy of the haters that like to stand around and watch me. The only reason they stand there is to see me fail and I won't give them that
