    Question deadlift ? please help?!?

    sup guys i was just wondering is it better to do deads off the ground or is it better to do deads off the rack and if so how high should i place the rack, i just put deads into my workout and did them for the first time last saturday off the ground but ive been seeing ppl do them off the rack (saftey squat rack bars) and their not lil dudes either, figure they no their shiat so if yall could help and maybe through me some reasons to y this is that would be great thanks a bunch...

    typically rack pulls are incorperated into a power lifting program to enhance your lockout strength, similar to board presses in bench.

    Conversely, they're used by people with big egos to inflate their numbers.

    I would say that for the bulk of us, the ground is good enough.

    Go from the ground - It's by far the best way!

    Remember - butt down, chest high, keep your abs tights and pull the bar up as close to your shins as you can.

    If your shins aren't bloody by the end of your workout you aren't doing them right! LoL

    Some who are a lot more flexible would even suggest standing on elevated platform (like those steps for aerobics) so the bar is parrallel with the bottom of your feet.

    Depends on your goals and you current regimen whether or not to implement rack pulls.
